About The Event

Join us in sprucing up our downtown area for the upcoming spring season! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us beautify our community during our Spring Downtown Clean- Up event. Whether your a passionate enviromentalist, enjoy spending time outdoors, or simply want to give back to your community, we would love for you to join us! Thank you to the Design Committee for coordinating this project, which brings benefit to us all! 

Date: April 20th 

Time: 10AM-1PM 

Location: Meet at the Ellensburg Downtown Association (109 E 3rd AVE Suiote 109) 

Tasks Include:

  • Litter Collection: Help pick up trash and debris to keep our streets sparkling! 
  • Calling all gardeners! Get your hands dirty preparing our planters for the upcoming Planter Day! 
  • General clean up: Sweep sidewalks, clean benches, and pick up leaves we missed in the fall! 

Volunteer Requirements: 

  • All ages are welcome to participate, but if you're under the age of 13 bring your adult with you! 
  • Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes suitable for outdoor work. 
  • If accessible, please bring a waterbottle and your cleaning/gardening gloves (plastic gloves will be provided). 
  • This is a great team building event! If you come with your team, activity group, or businesses wear your swag and we'll feature you on our social media and website! 
  • Staff and volunteer coordinators will happily sign required volunteer patricipation forms! 

The EDA will provide: 

  • Buckets 
  • Soap
  • Scrub brushes
  • Dust pans
  • Brooms
  • Rubber gloves
  • Garden trowels
  • Weeding tools
  • Hefty garbage bags.
