Ellensburg Downtown Association Hosts Internet Business Education Workshop

Thursday August 9th

The Ellensburg Downtown Association will host a two hour workshop to help businesses owners harness the power of the internet as a tool to build their businesses.

The workshop “9 surefire success secrets that the other yahoos don’t know”  will be 10 a.m to Noon at the Hal Holmes Community Center at 201 N Ruby St.  Cost is $10 for association members and $20 for non-members.  The workshop sponsored by Kvalley Computers and Internet, and Rodeo City Graphics, will be presented by Michael Benidt and Sheryl Kay of the consulting firm goldencompass.com.

Michael Benidt and Sheryl Kay are information specialists. In today’s “flat world” managing information effectively is how companies find new sales, maintain competitive advantage, motivate employees and empower decision makers.

Association Director, Timothy Bishop is excited about the workshop and expects a large turnout.  “There are a lot of consultants out there who can talk about e-commerce and websites but Michael and Sheryl are able ot help business owners focus on the hidden business tools on the internet, and how to put htose tools to work for their business even if they don’t have an ecommerce site.”

Michael and Sheryl work with companies and associations who realize that “Information literacy” is fast becoming the next essential business skill.

Thursday’s workshop will include information on these eight essential points:

Search Engine Skills.

The Invisible Web.

The Paid Web.

The Interactive Web.

News Retrieval.

The “Virtual” Invisible Web.
