New Businesses Open this Weekend in Downtown Ellensburg

After starting the month of April with the addition of two new businesses, Downtown Ellensburg will end the month with two more businesses joining the ranks.

Hailina’s Closet Just opened at 422 North Pine Street and will celebrate with a grand opening this Saturday April 26th from 10 a.m. – 6p.m. The store specializes in gently used children’s apparel, Store hours are Monday – Friday 10-6,  and Saturday’s 9-4.  The store is owned by co-owners Cheryl Smith and Nicole Ciraulo. 

Also opening this weekend in Downtown, is Ellensburg Embroidery, Screen Printing and Gifts at 103 E 3rd Ave.  Owner Pam Miller started the embroidery business as a hobby in 2005 and added the screen printing part of the business in 2006.  Store hours are 9-5:30 Monday through Friday and 10-3 on Saturdays.  

Both businesses are excited to be open in Downtown Ellensburg and will be among the 28 businesses participating in the 1st annual Girls Night Out Celebration on Thursday May 1st

“We are very excited to have both of these businesses downtown,” noted Ellensburg Downtown Association Director Timothy Bishop.  “Both of these businesses fill an important customer need in Downtown and we are thrilled that they chose to locate Downtown and be a part of the revitalization that is taking place” 

The Ellensburg Downtown Association is a non profit organization dedicated to revitalizing Ellensburg’s historic Downtown using the Main Street approach to revitalization which included emphasis of Promotion, Design, Economic Restructuring, and organization.  Ellensburg was recognized last year as one of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s “Dozen Distinctive Destinations”.
